Brian Finch was one of the top contenders this year. Since the last race he had been working hard on his '72: a little nitrous, a high-power Kurt Urban engine, and wider front fenders to accommodate 335 front tires. Actually he made the switch to the uber-wide front rubber just before the race, and we think the suspension just wasn't tuned for that much grip up front. Even with that issue he finished tied for Seventh overall, no small feat. His track times were 1:53.714 (13th) on the road course, 42.780 (14th) for the autocross, and 19.024 (Fifth) in the Speed-Stop.
