'70 Camaro SS
David Price
Bowling Green, KY
When David Price aquired his '70 Camaro SS 18 years ago, it turned out all he got was a VIN number. Its original 350ci powerplant was gone, replaced by a 307. David installed a new hood, fenders, and quarter-panels-only to then let the project sit. Fifteen years later his son Aaron dragged out the Camaro and told Dad he was going to finish it...and three years later they did. The replacement panels were covered in Viper Red, and a 0.030-over 427 Rat (that's a 433 to me and you) filled the engine bay. The neatest things about his car, according to David, are the Honolulu "reconstructed vehicle" sticker on the windshield and the Army lapel pins under the seat. "How the car made it from Hawaii to Kentucky beats me," he concludes, "but I think it's found a permanent home in Vette City."
