1967 Nova
Kirk Martin
Sioux City, IA

When it came time to build this Viper Yellow Pearl Nova, Kirk Martin made this into a family affair by building it with his son Austin. Kirk followed his plan to a T and produced a stout street machine with a built 4-bolt main 355ci small-block. Compression hovers at 9.6:1. It's topped off with a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and an RPM Air-Gap manifold. Comp Pro Magnum rockers, lifters, and a cam make up the valvetrain. A 3,500-stall converter and B&M-backed TH350 take the punishment from shifting while an Auburn posi unit and 4.10s sit in the 10-bolt. To keep the Nova rolling, his wheels of choice are a clean set of Cragar 15x3.5/15x7 Drag Stars.
