Rich Bolar wanted something a little different when deciding on which engine to use to power his original 69,169-mile six-banger Nova. He finally decided on a low compression 9.6:1 ZZ502, which made 548 hp and 587 lb-ft. Bolar stuffed the Nova with MSD ignition, a Griffin two-row radiator, Auto Meter gauges and a 15-gallon RCI fuel cell. Power is fed through a 700-R4 and to a 9-inch rear with 3.70 gears and Detroit locker. Nostalgic 15-inch wheels support 4-inch-wide front and 9-inch-wide rear BFG rubber.
