In 1964, Ray salvaged this '57 from a pond, drag raced it for the next 20 years, and evolved it into what you see here. It has been restored and refurbished with a complete interior and a stout 496 swinging a Scat crank, Manley H-beams, and JE pistons. An Edelbrock nitrous system on tap creates a total of 820 hp and 600 lb-ft. The transmission is a TH400 with a Hughes converter and Hipster transbrake. The Chris Alston four-link is matched to a 9-inch rearend with 4.56 gears. Ray and Janet love attending local meet-and-greets.
