Back in 2009, Matt purchased his secondhand Z with the intention of getting it back on the road. With the help of a good friend, Matt replaced the wheels and tires and began sifting through the engine. Under the hood now rests a 400-inch small-block that sports a GM steel crankshaft, Keith Black slugs, and a pair of World Products Torquer cylinder heads for heavy breathing. A Cloyes double roller timing chain keeps the timing duties in check. The mill was then sealed off with an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold and a Speed Demon 750 carburetor. An old-school four-speed stick with a Hayes clutch and 4.10s with a posi gets Matt down the road.
