Blowing Rock, NC With nothing but performance on tap, Tom Shelley’s Nova is ready to roll. For power, he insisted on a punched-out 454ci big-block with domed pistons that hide underneath a pair of 118cc Edelbrock rectangular-port cylinder heads. To fortify the bottom end, he ordered up a Scat crankshaft with a set of Eagle rods. While Shelley hasn’t had the opportunity to dyno test his pride and joy, he’s pretty sure his powerplant is in the neighborhood of 650 hp.
