For the past eight years, Jim Rij’s been modifying his ’80 Corvette to its current condition. For go, it has a 355ci with Edelbrock aluminum heads and manifold, a Lunati VooDoo camshaft, KB pistons, and Eagle rods. He also swapped in a BTO 200-4R transmission, installed dual Flowmaster Super 44’s, fat sway bars, a composite rear spring, KYB shocks, and 17-inch American Racing TT II rollers. At a svelte 3,100 pounds, it has plenty of torque for spirited driving. Jim went on to say that he’s always wanted a driver, and that he can always be found cruising through the twisty canyons of Palomar Mountain.
