’94 Corvette

Bill Moore
Jenks, OK

Bill Moore told us that his dragstrip terror was handbuilt in 1994 by Clay Phillips with a chrome-moly chassis and a Hairy Glass Fiberglass body; Wet Willey Hot Rod Art handled the stellar paintjob, and he originally purchased the Vette from Brian Cummings. The motor is a Dart tall-deck 588 with Dart 345 heads, a forged Eagle crank and rods, a COMP roller cam, and has a Bird catcher fuel injection system. The car weighs 2,217 pounds and runs 5.31 at 131 mph in the eighth-mile (computes to an 8.41 at 163 mph in the quarter-mile) on 33x17x16 slicks. You can always find him at his home track, running in the Super Pro class at Tulsa Raceway Park.
