Just mention the word Camaro and four generations of high performance and cool looks comes to mind. So when Chevrolets Camaro brand Team Manager Scott Settlemire decided to create a special Heritage Edition car for promotional purposes, he contacted Don Johnson at DJ&F and Sprewell Racing to build on that legacy.
Starting with a stock LS1 SS Camaro, the team decided to first give the body a special look. To do that, they had Durans Quality Painting apply PPG Hugger Orange stripes over the pewter-colored F-body.
Next, Sprewell added an aerodynamic and billet grille package from RK Sport. Because cool cars need cool wheels, the Heritage Camaro got four Intro rims with Nitto Performance tires. Behind each wheel, the stock brake system made way for drilled and slotted disc-brake rotors from Baer Racing. Helping enhance the SSs ride and cornering abilities are selected pieces from Granatelli Motorsports plus a set of Eibach springs. Next, the Camaro received B&B Fabrication after-cat stainless steel exhaust pieces. At the rear, a Powertrax No-Slip traction-control system delivers the LS1s power equally to each rear wheel. The Camaro tradition has always meant good looks and performance. This Camaro does it in a way that continues the heritage.
