The '66 El Camino started as a roller, however once we got into the body, we learned it was a little wasted. Rubio's Auto Body took over that one and produced razor-straight panels with a chocolaty finish. The front and rear suspension along with the steering system have all been rebuilt using PST's infamous bushings and suspension components. Our budget big-block is also currently between the framerails and backed by a Monster TH400 transmission. We're just waiting on the Denny's driveshaft, which will be completed at Fab-tech, and the car will soon be hitting the track for preliminary testing. We're still a little torn on what direction to take Brutus; full drag-duty, or street and strip?
The'72 Nova is ramping up for some special parts too in the form of a new transmission from Gear Star to aide in highway cruising and dragstrip punishment. We have yet to get this thing to the strip, but once we do, a cylinder head swap and blower-specific cam may also be in store.
Henry D's second-gen Camaro (F73) has yet to be driven with its completely new Detroit Speed front and rear subframe with Rushforth wheels, and it's taking on the whole jet-fighter stance with ease. We can't wait to get our grubby hands all over it and see how it rips through the cones. Finally, the '02 Z06; as reluctant as Henry was, he did hand me the keys one day to his new pride and joy. My jaw dropped and the car is everything it's cracked up to be. You'll just have to wait and see what we have for this one.

On The Bumper
At the Street Car Super Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, Al Jiminez managed to ride out a Second gear shift on the bumper. After a transmission upgrade, new headers by Fab-tech, a few ignition tweaks, and a more aggressive tune at the line, the team got the car to run. "I couldn't even tell if I was still going straight and let off," said Jimenez. Damage included a broken trans pan, broken shocks. and a banged-up engine oil pan. Working all night and into the second round the following day, they lined up against John Urist. Unfortunately, this round wasn't meant to be as Jimenez's 7.502 wasn't enough for the 7.39 set by Urist.
