Your Chance For Free Texas Tea
As loyal readers, I'm sure most of you are pretty familiar with last year's Royal Purple's Slickest Ride Award. Still, if this giveaway sounds completely new to you, then kick back as I fill you in with the juicy details.
For a limited time last year, we teamed up with Royal Purple to give away cool prizes to our Reader's Ride of the Month, including a $200 gift certificate redeemable for any Royal Purple products and a pretty sweet limited-edition neon clock. All for what, you ask? For simply submitting a photo and a detailed description of your ride(s).
And because of the overwhelming demand by you to bring it back, we did just that. Beginning with September and running through the November 2010 issues, we're going to spotlight one lucky reader each month and send that person Royal Purple fluids of their choice for their muscle car.
If you're of the "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is" school, I'm here to tell you otherwise; at least for this particular situation, because some good things are free.
Here's what I need you to do: Start by submitting a high-resolution image of your pride and joy, preferably with few distractions behind the car and away from direct sunlight. Be sure to frame it with the entire car in plain view and include a brief history of your vehicle with a detailed list of what's under the hood. Now here's where we're doing something a little different this time around. Along with the clean image of your ride, I want to see pictures of your engine bay. If you follow these guidelines, you'll have an excellent shot of winning the Slickest Ride Award. Even if you don't, I can pretty much assure you that your ride will find its way into our Readers' Rides department in an upcoming issue.
Again, this is a short-run program, so be sure to email your ride(s) with the heading "Royal Purple's Slickest Ride" for your chance to win. I should mention that if you've appeared in our Readers' Rides department in the past, we have memories like an elephant and we'll catch it.
Still don't think you have a chance to win? I'll simply state that last year's giveaway winners had similar assumptions, only to be proven wrong when we sent them a congratulatory email.
