Straight Up & Down

It took two of us to get the window out before handing it to Craig. Before you remove the glass, have a secure, out-of-the-way spot to set it on.

Next, we unbolted the window regulator from the door...

...and pulled it out through the bottom.

Year One's window regulators (upper) are a direct replacement for the original (lower).

The old regulator rollers had worn badly over the years...

...The Year One window regulator comes with new rollers, but before we installed the new regulator, we lubed the rollers and the existing rollers that are attach to the window glass.

Clean and lube all of the window guides and pivot points; this will help maintain smooth window operation over the years.

After we installed the regulator and door glass, we made sure the glass fit properly in the up position against the side rail weatherstripping. When checking and adjusting the glass, it's best to close the door with the window down and then raise the glass to the full up position and make the adjustments from inside the car. Then check the adjustment by gently closing the door and monitoring the fit.

The freshly installed Year One regulators have the Camaro's windows operating as smooth as ... well, glass.
