Secondary hangers are critical to achieving the proper air/fuel ratio with a Q-jet. A single letter identifies hangers. The difference between each hanger is 0.005-inch in height. As you can see, the “D” hanger on the left will pull the metering rods out of the fixed jets much farther than the “O” hanger on the right.
