alright...well its all finalized. im getting a yz250, i have enough money with working any that to get around a 2005 or older. so if you had about 3 grand, but wanted to save a little encase something goes wrong with the bike. so around 2800 maybe.....who knows by the time i get the bike ill have a little more money. so 3 grand....what year would you get. i like that 2005 had the al frame, but did the al frame really shave that much weight off....does it handle better, is there a year(s) that i should stay away from. thanks, adam

does the governments help pay for the purchasing, or tax cuts for the users of Wind turbines? at the time i type this i don't think they do. but hybrid owners do don't they? even though it's been proven a hybrid like the prius is not green. but a wind turbine really is. anyway i was telling my parents about possibly investing in a wind turbine. they live in the country so that means the only bill they have is electricy and a turbine would nearly eleminate that bill, and at times the power company may have to pay them. this is a perfict location for a wind turbine to. living on the edge of the great plains the wind is almost allways blowing. but the smallest turbine that could power the farm costs 50'000 dollars, that would take 15 years to pay off and there would be the 5 year maitanance periods to worrie about to so possibly 20 years. anyway why doesn't the government help pay for putting personal wind turbines up? it would help people who want one get one. and it would help the nation elemeinate our dependance of coal power

Are fork bleeders needed? Do they help other than bleeding the air out of your forks. What are the benefits of them? I have a 05 yz250 and it has one bleeder. what should I do? The past few weeks I started bleeding both forks, one has a push button and the other has a screw. and now my forks seem to be leaking a little.

What I'm having issues with is that second gear does not seem to be there. One night on my drive out of no where I was driving along and had to stop at a light. No issues till then. When I left from the light my truck reved real high to ~4500 rpm and did not shift, so i let go of the gas and it dropped down to ~2500 rpm then shifted in to what I believe is third. I checked the fluid and it is red but with a little black or brown in it. I have taken it to a local shop and they told me that the band is either broken or stretched for second. Would this happen with out any warning? I spoke to another shop and they said (with out driving it) it could be a vacuumed issue. What do you think? Any advise would be helpful...

You can also view everything overall, last three months, or the current month as well. It really appeals to a "calculator guy" like me. This month is a bit skewed for me, but starting next month, I'll be able to better track where my money goes, so I can budget my expenditures better. Biggest expense overall? I hope this doesn't happen to anyone on power tour, but I feel the need to warn everybody. If you are on your way to HRPT through Iowa on I-35, or on the way from Ames to Rochester, and you have a breakdown, DO NOT call "Maximum Overdrive" for mechanical work or wrecker service. I was on my way to the Hugo pig-roast/carshow last year when I needed a wrecker for my 67 Impala. AAA connected me with this towing company, and he did $600 damage to the rear of my car! He refused to pay for it, and I ended up taking him to small claims court. The judge ruled in my favor, and yet this guy still refuses to pay for the damage he caused through his negligence. Maximum Overdrive is operated by Zach Tripp out of DOWS, IA. just off of I-35 @mile-marker 142. Hopefully nobody will have any problems. Thanks for letting me rant!! :mad:

There have been many estimates of the price of the Volt since its announcement. The most current one I could find at a credible website, Motor Trend, is at $48,000. Yikes! Would you pay $48k for a vehicle that could possibly run on batteries alone if your commute is under 40-50 miles round trip? I would say people will buy this for the image of being green, but most people buy high mileage cars to save on gas and money in general. Even if you only use it's plug in battery capacity, estimated at 40-50miles, it would take you 30 or so years to make up for its cost premium. How much would you be willing to pay for a Volt? How much do you think is reasonable for this vehicle that will probably be the same size as a Prius? Also, a more thrifty(on gas not sure about price), larger, and faster prius is coming out in 2009.

I seem to have a problem getting my foot under to shift gears. My boots hinder me a little. Sometimes I grab it from the side other times I get my foot under the shifter but it kinda gets stuck sometimes. Is there a technique to this or should I see about a longer shifter?
