It showed a supercharged model SS ZL575 which will have a base price of 57,995. The motor which seems like a detuned verision of the supercharged vette was rated at 575 hp. They ran it in the 1/4 and it turned 11.8 @ 121 mph. It had street tires on it and they left pretty soft. They also shifted like my grandmother. In the hands of some of us racers and with some drag radials high 10s are very possible.

My experience with the 200-R4 is very limited but like the overdrive it provides for fuel economy. Since the '88 has a manual in it now I'm afraid getting all the computer controlled inputs to the 200-R4 for converter lock up will be a chore. The main thing is I need to get the truck back on the road the quickest cheapest way possible. Being fairly new to engine swapping, i'm left scratching my head on a couple things. I'm getting what i assume is low vacuum because the brake booster doesnt seem to be working now.(could i just disconnect the vacuum line from the carb and plug it into one of the intake runners?) the engine idles great but once the truck is put into drive it bogs down and almost stalls out. (maybe the carb is running too rich, i've got the mixture screws on the holley street avenger backed out 3.5 turns apiece) i've got a clear fuel filter and it seems to be empty while the engine is running, then when i shut down, it fills with fuel that looks like its bubbling or boiling. Thanks for any and all help on this i'm really looking forward to getting these resolved so i can drive again.

Do not use this silicone Dielectric grease for anything else.. it will cause bolts and brake sliding parts to seize. it is just to transfer the heat from the module to the distributer housing.. one more thing... does your motor have a detonation sensor on the side.???? is it hooked up??? can you have someone with a scan tool watch and see when you tap the side of the block with something if the ecm sees this noise and retards the timing..
