 With everything disconnected,...  With everything disconnected, we removed the whole steering column and shaft, all the while making sure to keep the factory bolts for the new unit. It can get tricky, but take your time and it will come out.  With the old junk removed,...  With the old junk removed, the spring-loaded EZ Fit steering shaft went in without a hitch. Once the splines of the yoke are lined up to the steering box, it will slide right on. Flaming River offers a wide range, so when ordering be sure you know the spline count for your steering box. From there we fed the other end of the shaft through the hole in the firewall.  Flaming River supplies all...  Flaming River supplies all the necessary bracketry to make the install a snap. Here, we slid on the company's universal slip bracket. This bracket has a rubber lining to prevent any unnecessary vibration and also serves as the mounting point for the factory bracket into the car.  Once we had the correct position...  Once we had the correct position located, we tightened down the set screws with an Allen wrench.  Next, using the factory hardware,...  Next, using the factory hardware, we bolted up the factory bracket to the column and fastened it down with a 1/2-inch wrench.  Once the bracket is securely...  Once the bracket is securely bolted to the column, we could line the column up with the factory mounting point underneath the dash. We bolted the column down using a 9/16-inch wrench and a ratchet. We also went ahead and plugged all the wiring harnesses back together.  To get the steering wheel...  To get the steering wheel back on, we used the Flaming River spacer that comes with the kit. We fed the wiring for the horn through first and then lined up the splines before we pushed the spacer on. We then spun the fastening nut on and tightened it down with a 7/8-inch socket.  The only thing left was mounting...  The only thing left was mounting the Grant steering wheel back up.
