Eyes positioned at each end of a leaf spring hold the bushing through which a bolt holds the entire assembly to the chassis. Compared to a standard eye, the Berlin eye concentrates load at the centerline of the main plate, which decreases lateral deflection. The reverse eye provides a lower ride height while maximizing suspension travel. However, only the standard eye can be reinforced at its main plate with a longer second leaf. View Related Article
