TRICK FLOW
SUMMIT RACING 800.230.3030 summitracing.com This aluminum head from Trick Flow produced 496 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm and 455 horses at 5,300 rpm. With its 195cc intake ports and 215-cfm flow numbers at 0.400-inch lift it was a good match for our 383 small-block test engine. Matched to a similar engine, you can have neck-snapping torque and big power. We went over our budget by $26, but at such a marginal cost, who are we to not test them? Besides, a week of brown-bagging our lunches made up the difference. | CATEGORY 2 | | MODEL: | Trick Flow aluminum, 195cc | | PN: | 30400001 | | PRICE: | $1026/pair | | Weight: | 26 pounds each | | True measured combustion chamber volume: | 64 cc | | True measured intake and exhaust port volume: | 195 cc; 73 cc | | Spring pressure: | 115 lbs. on seat; 275 lbs. at 0.500-inch lift | | installed height: | 1.850 inch | | Valve size: | 2.02/1.60-inch | | Intake flow at 0.400 lift: | 215 cfm | | Assembled, with guideplates | | Airflow | | Valve lift | .050 | .100 | .200 | .300 | .400 | .500 | .600 | | Intake Corr test flow | 29.5 | 60.3 | 125 | 173.6 | 215 | 239 | 243 | | Exhaust Corr test flow | 18 | 43 | 86.5 | 116.7 | 144 | 162 | 175 | | POWER | | Average torque: | 462 lb-ft | | Average horsepower: | 408 hp | | RPM | lb-ft | HP | | 3,300 | 482 | 303 | | 3,400 | 481 | 312 | | 3,500 | 483 | 322 | | 3,600 | 489 | 335 | | 3,700 | 491 | 346 | | 3,800 | 494 | 357 | | 3,900 | 495 | 368 | | 4,000 | 496 | 378 | | 4,100 | 494 | 386 | | 4,200 | 493 | 394 | | 4,300 | 492 | 403 | | 4,400 | 491 | 411 | | 4,500 | 489 | 419 | | 4,600 | 484 | 423 | | 4,700 | 478 | 428 | | 4,800 | 474 | 433 | | 4,900 | 471 | 439 | | 5,000 | 467 | 444 | | 5,100 | 463 | 449 | | 5,200 | 456 | 452 | | 5,300 | 451 | 455 | | 5,400 | 443 | 455 | | 5,500 | 431 | 451 | | 5,600 | 424 | 452 | | 5,700 | 415 | 451 | | 5,800 | 406 | 449 | | 5,900 | 400 | 449 | | 6,000 | 391 | 446 | | 6,100 | 380 | 442 |
