Cylinder Head Vital Specs - Power Curves
WORLD MOTOWN
COMPETITION PRODUCTS 800.233.0199 competitionproducts.com The World Motown 220 pumped out 478 lb-ft of torque at 3,800 rpm and 439 horses at 5,400 rpm. These heads, with their 220cc intake ports, are the biggest we tested, and it must be mentioned that the large port size would most likely work better on engines with more than 400 ci (such as the latest 427 and 454 small-blocks). Because our test engine was a smaller 383 we were not able realize the power numbers that these heads produce on big-inch small-blocks. | CATEGORY 3 | | MODEL: | World, Motown 220cc Cast-Iron Head | | PN: | 014150-2 | | PRICE: | $980/pair | | Weight: | 52 pounds each | | True measured combustion chamber volume: | 67 cc | | True measured intake and exhaust port volume: | 220 cc; 79 cc | | Spring pressure: | 115 lbs. on seat; 270 lbs. at 0.500-inch lift | | INSTALLED HEIGHT: | 1.850 inch | | Valve size: | 2.06/1.60-inch | | Intake flow at 0.400 lift: | 222 cfm | | Complete, assembled with guideplates | | Airflow | | Valve lift | .050 | .100 | .200 | .300 | .400 | .500 | .600 | | Intake Corr test flow | 31 | 60 | 123 | 177 | 222 | 243 | 260 | | Exhaust Corr test flow | 23 | 50 | 109 | 142 | 172 | 187 | 195 | | POWER | | Average torque: | 445 lb-ft | | Average horsepower: | 393 hp | | RPM | lb-ft | HP | | 3,200 | 460 | 280 | | 3,300 | 457 | 287 | | 3,400 | 460 | 298 | | 3,500 | 467 | 311 | | 3,600 | 471 | 323 | | 3,700 | 475 | 335 | | 3,800 | 478 | 346 | | 3,900 | 477 | 354 | | 4,000 | 476 | 363 | | 4,100 | 476 | 371 | | 4,200 | 475 | 380 | | 4,300 | 472 | 386 | | 4,400 | 470 | 394 | | 4,500 | 467 | 400 | | 4,600 | 465 | 408 | | 4,700 | 463 | 414 | | 4,800 | 457 | 417 | | 4,900 | 449 | 419 | | 5,000 | 445 | 423 | | 5,100 | 440 | 427 | | 5,200 | 437 | 433 | | 5,300 | 431 | 435 | | 5,400 | 427 | 439 | | 5,500 | 419 | 438 | | 5,600 | 411 | 438 | | 5,700 | 400 | 434 | | 5,800 | 393 | 434 | | 5,900 | 387 | 434 | | 6,000 | 379 | 432 | | 6,100 | 373 | 434 | | 6,200 | 362 | 427 | | 6,300 | 350 | 420 | | 6,400 | 336 | 409 |
