"People think pushrods are just little sticks, but they're one of the chief causes of valvetrain failure," says our custom-cam guru, Ed Curtis. "It's not an item to get cheap on." The Comp Cams High Energy piece at the bottom will hold up to most everyday use, but the one-piece, thick-walled Magnum pushrod in the center is much stronger.
