Total peak gains came out to an additional 25 hp and 2 lb-ft with no other changes than the cam swap. When it came to ignition timing, the previous cam was happy at 27 degrees of advance, whereas the positive displacement version wanted to be at 29 degrees of advance. Boost was also affected, previously peaking at 6,600 rpm with 8.2 pounds of boost, while the new 'stick peaked out at 6,800 rpm with slightly less boost, 7.8 pounds. As you can see on the dyno chart, there was practically no loss of bottom-end power from 3,900 rpm on up. Looking at it from a point-to-point perspective, we saw even larger gains of 30 hp at 6,800 rpm and 23 lb-ft at 6,900 rpm. View Related Article
