They're made of high- nodular-content iron with a uniform thickness, are 0.950 inch wide (versus 0.750) for better carrier bearing support, use larger 1/2-inch Grade 8 bolts, and are 0.640 inch thick (versus 0.560) for increased resistance to deflection.
