Superchargers Whippie Twin Screws
|
The Whipple twin-screw operates on three principles: inlet, compression, and discharge phases. On the inlet phase the male and female rotors turn opposite to each other. Then, as the lobes of each rotor move past each inlet port, air is trapped between consecutive lobes and the cylindrical casing. The air then travels forward axially throughout the case and fills the space between adjacent lobes. View Related Article
