Pinning The Crank Once the balancer was installed, the fixture had to be bolted to the crank with the supplied bolt. We made sure to put the drill hole 180 degrees from the existing keyway on the balancer hub. Note: To prevent over drilling, mark your drill bit with tape 15/8 inches from the tip. With the drill bit marked and the fixture bolted to the crank, we used the guide hole to drill into the crank and hub, going in only as far as the tape mark. Once the hole was drilled and cleaned, we tapped in the provided dowel pin with a rubber mallet and a brass punch. View Related Article
