While there is no definitive figure, forged 4340 cranks routinely hold up to 1,000 hp. Cast-steel cranks are no slouches, either. Significantly stronger than most factory iron units, aftermarket cast-steel small-block cranks can easily handle 500 hp. Thanks to the Rat's thick main and rod journals, pushing 750 hp through a cast-steel big-block crank is not a problem.
