The extra meat provided by ERL's deck plates maintains excellent piston stability at BDC, as just 0.100 inch of the skirt protrudes below the cylinder case. ERL starts by removing the factory sleeve and machining the bores and deck surface. Next, new Darton sleeves are pressed into place, and the block is align-bored and -honed.
