Once the accessories are gone from the front and top of the engine, you can remove the intake manifold. If it doesn't come loose right away, pry the front and rear oil-rail seals loose.

Before installing the timing cover, be sure that it and the oil-pan contact points are thoroughly cleaned. Once clean, spread a thin film of silicone over the contact surfaces and then slowly draw the oil pan into position over the timing cover.
