 The exposed factory terminals...  The exposed factory terminals were then snipped off, replaced with new terminals, and installed into new connectors. Each wire must be installed in a particular spot in the new connector. These locations are spelled out in great detail for each model year in the directions. Even our wiring ace Matt took his time and carefully followed the connector-pin location location chart.  Once the new connectors were...  Once the new connectors were in place, it was time to install our new gauge panel. Although the tape is still in place to help keep things organized, Matt tied up the wire bundles with zip ties.  At this point, Matt had to...  At this point, Matt had to exercise a little dexterity, reaching behind the panel to snap the connectors together. Clearance was tight; it took a little wire-bundle massaging to get our panel to set flat.  Remember that bundle of ground...  Remember that bundle of ground wires? Matt ensured a good circuit by securing them to a clean hunk of steel.  And finally, we flipped the...  And finally, we flipped the switch to make sure everything worked before buttoning it up. As you can see, it works great, and these accurate gauges give our veteran Z28 an exciting new behind-the-wheel look. Count us satisfied.
