The A/C compressor cover fit... The A/C compressor cover fit perfectly on top of the Sanden 508 series compressor-unit clutch mechanism and was held in place with three low-head bolts. The compressor is mounted... The compressor is mounted to the supplied main and arm bracket in the same manner as the alternator. The system provided ample space to route a fuel supply line behind the compressor and close to the engine for a clean fitment. (For the keen-eyed readers, that is a double V-groove pulley on the compressor, but don't fret; we plan on changing this later.) Back to the water pump, the... Back to the water pump, the pulley was put in place and secured with stylish button-head bolts. Also installed was a Performance Stainless Steel water outlet. With both the A/C compressor... With both the A/C compressor and water pump in place, it's pretty obvious why we selected this system. The power-steering pump-unit install begins by mounting the pump bracket and brace to the block using the two lower left threaded holes near the timing-chain cover. The brace (not shown) is installed between the back of the bracket and the motor mount The power-steering pump mounted... The power-steering pump mounted to the bracket with two long bolts that run through the unit. With the pump mounted, the... With the pump mounted, the pulley was installed with three low-head socket head bolts. After three hours, including... After three hours, including the drying time for the paint, we installed the first of the two supplied Goodyear fan belts. There's plenty of room for additional adjustment as the belt wears in and stretches. The result is a high-class... The result is a high-class accessory-drive system that complements our build style for the Chevelle. We liked the fact that Concept One planned this Wide Kit unit using the same fan belt for both the A/C and alternator system. Why, you ask? Should the alternator belt ever break on us during a road trip, we can swap belts and still cruise home, charging the battery, turning the water pump, and allowing the power steering to function-very cool!
