LS1 Cylinder Head - Head Games - Tech
As is evident from the graph, the new RHS LS1 heads improved the power output dramatically on this modified LS1 test motor. The 5.7L GMPP crate motor was equipped with a Comp XR265HR cam, Hooker (F-body) headers, and a FAST LSX intake. Run with the FAST XFI engine-management system, the modified LS1 produced 480 hp and 453 lb-ft. After swapping on the new 210cc RHS heads, the peak power jumped to an amazing 529 hp and (equally amazing) 488 lb-ft. The RHS heads improved the power output across the board, from 3,000 rpm all the way to 6,600 rpm.
