Intake Innovation
Composite Modular Manifold
Quite bluntly, Wilson Manifolds calls its new Composite Modular Manifold "the most technologically advanced and highest-performing manifold ever produced for the Chevrolet 23-degree cylinder head." Designed using sophisticated Computational Fluid Dynamics and constructed with revolutionary new manufacturing techniques, Wilson Manifolds says this patent-pending intake shows a 20-plus horsepower increase over leading competitors' manifolds-with no loss of drivability or torque. Made from a proprietary composite polymer for strength and durability, the piece also weighs 10-15 pounds less than aluminum manifolds. This material absorbs less heat and, by incorporating an internal water passage connecting the front and rear water crossovers, helps cools the engine more evenly. The new manifold's modular design allows for the spider section-removable from the engine without breaking the seal of the valley tray-to be easily swapped between engines. The spider also comes apart, allowing unrestricted plenum access. Valley trays are available for 23-degree standard and raised-runner heads, and bonded, reusable plenum gaskets and spider-to-valley tray gaskets are included. The 4150 version is available now; CMMs for Dominator carburetors and other applications are on the way.

wideband oxygen sensor upgrade
Looking to upgrade your Commander 950 EFI system? Holley has just the thing with the introduction of its wideband O2 upgrade kits. PN 534-197 uses a Bosch LSU4 sensor and is intended for cost-conscious consumers. It plugs directly into any Commander 950 harness and measures any air/fuel ratio between 10- and 18:1, in real time, for extremely accurate tuning. The upgrade requires Holley's Pro C950 software (included) and firmware (pre-2003 ECUs can be returned for a free upgrade). The Pro software features a 64-cell target air/fuel ratio matrix, enabling tuners to program the ECU to operate the engine at any target air/fuel ratio. PN 534-188 includes an NTK wideband O2 sensor and measures air/fuel ratios ranging from 10- to 20:1.

Strongarm Tubular Control Arms
Air Ride does more than "just" airbags, as evidenced by its expanded line of StrongArm tubular control arms. Now available for '67-81 Camaros and '68-78 Novas, these control arms feature optimized arm lengths to allow for performance camber settings and wheel alignment and an optimized ball-joint angle to eliminate bind suspension bind, and they're built with increased caster angle to improve high-speed stability. StrongArm components are CNC-laser-cut and bent using 111/44-od, 0.188-inch-wall DOM tubing. And as you might expect, Air Ride has incorporated correct mounting locations for its ShockWave and other airspring systems. StrongArms are also available for '55-57 Chevys, '58-64 big cars, '64-72 A-bodies, and '78-87 G-bodies.
