To begin fiberglass repairs, the area must be sanded (ground) down to just break the surface. Be sure to sand only the top of the surface, without sanding or grinding down far into the structural part of the fiberglass. The slightly rough surface provides an area to which the fiberglass cloth and resin can adhere. View Related Article
