This type of Q-jet actually has a throttle position sensor (TPS). It's important that the sensor protrudes through the proper opening in the gasket (arrow) so it can contact the spring-loaded TPS actuating pin, which runs off the accelerator pump. The hooklike appendage is used to adjust TPS height, if necessary. View Related Article
