Upscale Housing
M9 Performance Fabricated Housings
With its new line of M9 Performance Fabricated Housings, Moser has endeavored to produce a 9-inch housing unit that can handle the ever-increasing horsepower levels put out by today's musclecars, while also enhancing performance and improving undercarriage appearance. Each M9 housing is fabricated from a single, triangulated 1/8-inch-thick piece of American steel. According to Moser, constructing the housing from one piece of metal rather than multiple pieces makes the structure extremely strong-in fact, Moser calls the M9 "the strongest fabricated housings in today's marketplace." Overall strength is increased by the use of a 3/8-inch-thick faceplate, internal gussets and bulkheads, and 3x0.25-inch-thick DOM tubing. A custom-machined fill and drain vent, a stud kit, and installed housing ends are also included. M9 housings come in three variations. The M9 Drag is available in several setups, including four-link, swing arm, solid mount, and bare. The M9 Bolt-In features brackets based on OEM specs; at this time, fitments are available for Chevelles, Camaros, and G-bodies. For those looking for flexibility in adding suspension components, the M9 Bare housing is available. For ease in ordering, there are housing and axle packages to fit most musclecar applications. Powdercoating is available, and customers also have a choice of new Moser housing ends developed to fit most OEM brake configurations.

Converter Conversion
Pro-X Bolt-Together Torque Converter
Until now, the only way to change stall speed to adjust for varying track conditions was to change converters, and a grenaded tranny meant sending the thing out to be flushed or cut open and cleaned. TCI's new Pro-X Bolt-Together Torque Converters allow racers to take the converter apart for trackside tuning-including changing stall speed-or for cleaning in the event of a transmission failure. A hand-built steel stator and billet sprag are meant to deliver the ultimate in strength and torque multiplication, while the 7075-T6 billet aluminum cover eliminates ballooning concerns in applications exceeding 2,500 hp. Pro-X Bolt-Together Torque Converters are available for Powerglide, TH350, and TH400 applications.
