Second-Gen Camaro Frame Stub
If the number of new go-fast parts hitting the market is any indication, second-gen Camaros are increasing in popularity by the day. One of the lastest pieces is Fatman Fabrications' new front frame stub for '70-81 F-bodies and '75-79 Novas, a setup the maker says provides these vehicles with Pro Touring handling and style. This complete new subframe, which is fixture-welded from 0.188-inch rectangular-wall, 2x4- and 3x4-inch mild steel, provides vastly improved geometry with a 2-inch-narrower track width, allowing for wider tires within the confines of the stock fenderwells. This unit bolts into the unibody just like the original and is supplied with polished stainless steel tubular control arms (stock width or 1-inch-narrowed for additional tire clearance), dropped spindles with 11-inch disc brakes, a sway bar, and a steering hookup from the new rack-and-pinion to the original GM steering column. The upper control-arm shafts have a 31/416-inch offset built in, allowing a greater variety of alignment options. Either small- or big-blocks can be installed using any oil pan that fits the original chassis. According to Fatman, its new frame stub will provide increased tire and ground clearance, superior handling, and a much cleaner appearance. Options include coilovers, AirRide setups, and Wilwood brakes.

Lakewood's heavy-duty upper control arms are designed for racing with economy in mind. Engineered from heavy-duty steel boxed tubing, they feature Delrin bushings, steel sleeves, easy-to-reach grease fittings, and Grade-8 fasteners. According to Lakewood, these new arms eliminate wheelhop and improve traction by planting the tires when used with Lakewood's performance lower control arms. Pro-Tuner Efi System For Small- And Big-Blocks
Put bluntly, Edelbrock says it now offers everything you need to build a custom fuel-injection system. The new Pro-Tuner EFI System provides enough options to cover just about any application. Edelbrock EFI Induction Kits are dyno-matched, with manifold and throttle body, to the Electronics Kits; Fuel Pump and Regulator Kits finish the package for the consistent fuel delivery crucial to proper EFI performance.
