'64-72 Rs Performance Chevelle Chassis
Aftermarket suspension systems for our favorite musclecars are getting more sophisticated-and comprehensive-by the day. Case in point: RS Performance's "ultimate chassis" for '64-72 A-bodies. Although this new chassis bolts up to all stock body, bumper, and core support mounts with no body modification, it has been highly modified over stock dimensions for lower stance, better handling, a more rigid platform, greater lateral strength, and the use of wider wheels and tires.
The front suspension is an RS-specific version of Detroit Speed & Engineering's Camaro front setup, based on C6 Corvette spindles and steering arms. It also includes power rack-and-pinion steering, a NASCAR-style front sway bar, and Koni adjustable coilovers. The rear suspension features a large-diameter, triangulated four-bar configuration with adjustable coilovers and a 9-inch axlehousing. The 3.5x3.5-inch, 10-gauge-steel, fully boxed framerails were engineered for extreme strength and include an integrated tubular coilover rear crossmember to strengthen the chassis for high-horsepower and convertible body applications. The rear framerails have been narrowed 4 inches per side to accommodate up to a 14-inch-wide tire, when mini-tubbed; 10-inch-wide tires will fit up front. There's also an adjustable, drop-out transmission mount, as well as a mid-brace support with an integrated driveshaft loop and exhaust ports for up to 3-inch exhaust. Motor mounts are available for small- and big-blocks, as well as LSX powerplants. Each RS Performance Chevelle Chassis is prefit with an actual engine block and transmission for a guaranteed fit.

Premium Forged Ls Pistons
KB Performance Pistons has expanded its Premium Forged piston lineup; the roster now includes four lightweight pistons for LS engines. Forged from high-quality 2618 aluminum alloy, these pistons come in step-dish and flat-top versions for 402- and 428ci LS engines. They are available for 6.125-inch rods and come in 0.003-, 0.020-, and 0.030-inch-oversize bores. These new LX slugs also feature KB's unique ribbing system, which promotes rapid cooling of the piston head, adding strength to the forging. All Premium Forged pistons ship in matched sets with pins, spiral locks, and spacer rings.
