Due to the popularity of the Mark IV big-blocks, it comes as no surprise that Blueprint Engines has based its 496 BBC crate motors off of the same tried-and-true 4.250-inch stroke. All you have to do is decide whether to go with the base street-performance version with 480 hp and 550 lb-ft through cast-iron, oval-port heads, or step it up with a set of AFR cylinder heads, Jesel components, and a roller cam that produces 515 hp and 615 lb-ft.
