Magna Charger - Magna Charged
|
The bypass mechanism is clever in that it prevents the supercharger from making boost by equalizing the pressure above and below the rotors. When heavy throttle is applied and vacuum is reduced, the bypass valve either closes or begins to close. Boost is then able to accumulate in the manifold. In cruising situations, the valve opens, which ceases the blower from making boost. This bypass valve has proved successful and is of the same design used by GM on some factory-installed blowers.
