We sprayed the intake runner with WD-40 to act as a lubricant, which helped with the cutting while also helping remove the heat generated from the porting. By keeping the bit cool, the aluminum fragments have less of a chance to melt and bond with the surface of the deburring tool--this way we could focus on porting instead of stopping from time to time to pick out the aluminum buildup in the drill bit.
