Trick Flow's Super 23 Street/Strip heads come in several fully assembled configurations, including one that will handle up to 0.600-inch lift. Our chosen cam exceeded that figure, so we ordered our heads bare, along with the valves, then completed the assembly with Isky 1.550-inch springs that could handle up to 0.730-inch lift. To do this, we needed a 1.900 installed height. The valves were already 0.100 inch longer than normal; adding 0.050-inch locks gave us the rest of the room needed to achieve our desired setup.
