Ridetech Tigercage Bolt-In Rollcage
One of the most effective ways to add chassis stiffness and overall structural strength to a classic musclecar is to install a cage. In most cases, however, doing so requires significant fabricating and welding skills, and extensive modifications to the vehicle are often needed as well. RideTech, a division of Air Ride Technologies, now has a simpler solution. The TigerCage is a completely bolt-in cage that installs using key structural locations to substantially increase chassis stiffness.
The TigerCage is constructed entirely from 304 stainless steel and requires absolutely no welding or fabricating. According to the manufacturer, the patent-pending TigerClamp system allows for easy installation with simple handtools and without altering-or even disassembling-your current interior. The strength of the TigerCage derives from the fact that it interfaces with existing vehicle strength points in multiple planes. This unique design allows the serious enthusiast to achieve a significant increase in chassis stiffness and performance without altering his valuable muscle car.
Versions for '67-81 Camaros, '68-79 Novas, and '66-69 Chevelles are available, with an application for '70-72 Chevelles in the works. And for you racers out there, sanctioning body certification is pending.

For those looking to put the drop and the stop on their A-body in one fell swoop, Classic Performance Products has created its new 12-inch Drop Spindle Kit for '64-72 Chevelles. According to CPP, these kits have almost everything you need to add 12-inch disc brakes and 2-inch drop spindles to your original disc or drum brake car, including new loaded big piston calipers with pads, 12-inch one-piece rotors, bearings, seals, dust caps, spindle nuts, hardware, and rubber brake hoses. CPP's Big Brake kit, which is designed specifically for 15-inch or larger custom wheels, provides a full 2-inch drop and will not change your car's steering geometry. Stock height spindles are also available.

The TV cable setup found on '82-86 700-R4 transmissions is used to set internal line pressure and part-throttle shifting. Incorrectly adjusted or disconnected TV cables are the most common cause of failure for these trannys. TCI's '82-86 GM 700-R4 Constant Pressure Valve Body avoids this common transmission destruction in both stock and aftermarket units by maintaining adequate line pressure at all times. While the TV cable still must be connected for proper transmission operation, the TCI 700R4 Constant Pressure Valve Body provides more flexibility when setting part-throttle shift points and works with a wide variety of cable brackets and carburetor styles.
