 The bits included in the Holley...  The bits included in the Holley conversion kit are (from left to right) the metering-block gasket and the bowl gasket, the metering block, and longer fuel-bowl screws (necessary due to the increased length of the metering block). You may also need to swap in different jets depending on your specific combination.  Remove all of the bowl screws,...  Remove all of the bowl screws, and keep a close eye on the washers (in some cases, they stick to the bowl, come off with the screws, or tear). New washers aren't included in the kit, so don't lose or damage the originals. To remove the bowl without damage, pry the bowl, not the metering plate, and be very careful when removing it because the gaskets can stick. Forcing a screwdriver tip between the bowl and the metering block risks damaging the sealing surfaces.  The metering plate will now...  The metering plate will now become visible. It's held in place with six clutch-head screws; you'll need a 0.145-inch tip to remove them. If you don't have a clutch-head screwdriver, you can use a square-drive (Robertson) or a small flat-blade screwdriver.  In some cases, the metering...  In some cases, the metering plate falls off, but usually it'll be stuck. Carefully pry the metering plate on the top surface with a screwdriver, but do not slip the blade between the plate and the carburetor body to pry it out. This could damage the machined surfaces on the carb.  Once the plate is removed,...  Once the plate is removed, you'll probably face a seriously stuck metering plate gasket. Never attempt to scrape the gasket off with a putty knife or wire brush! Soak the area with a spray-on gasket remover, and in a couple of minutes, the gasket should be soft and easy to remove.  Jetting is, of course, something...  Jetting is, of course, something you'll have to establish for your particular combination. The Holley kit includes No. 76 jets in the metering block. See the chart to convert metering-plate numbers to more conventional jet numbers.  With everything clean, install...  With everything clean, install the metering block gasket on the metering block. Then turn the block over and install the float-bowl gasket. Both gaskets are held in place with dowel pins and fit snugly. Slip the metering block onto the carburetor main body.  Install gaskets (bowl-screw...  Install gaskets (bowl-screw washers) on all of the new bowl screws and position the secondary float bowl onto the metering block. Install the bowl screws (with gaskets attached) and tighten in a crisscross pattern.
