Perhaps the most readily identifiable small-block EFI system is the GM Tuned Port Injection (TPI) system. Chevrolet used the TPI system from 1985 until the introduction of the LT1 in 1992. The TPI engines used both speed density and mass airflow computer control over the individual fuel injectors. The TPI system has become a very popular EFI addition for older Chevys.
