ACCEL offers two different coil and module combinations. The highest output 8-amp ACCEL system uses this open-style four-pin module along with a Brute coil that offers the most amperage possible. The module is open so that it can run cooler than the standard fully encapsulated module. The ACCEL modules also offer a thermal protection circuit that shuts the ignition off if the module exceeds the safe maximum temperature. Once it cools off, the system will operate normally.
